THREE FOOD EVENTS FOR THE END OF FEBRUARY

Who told you that the end of February is a period with no gastronomic events? Here are three occasions to travel and taste new things.

Le Bollicine Inglesi

Tuesday 20th of February, 6:30pm

Nicola Bonera, the best Italian sommelier in 2010 and among the most important people in Italy about it, will host an evening completely dedicated to “Le Bollicine Inglesi” (English Sparkles). England has never shined for sparkling or general wines, but in the first case the Cornwall, Kent, Sussex and Surrey, just like some Scottish areas and London environs, they are similar to the ones from Côte de Blanc and Champagne. The production of English sparkling wines had an increase of 50% in the past few months and in some blind tastings they even exceeded the French and the Italian ones. Moreover, from the economic point of view, they are less expensive. So this evening is perfect to have the chance to get to know them better.

Vino e Storia sulle colline del Sole

February the 25th

In order to discover the Apennines between Piedmont and Lombardy, the Calix Association has organized an excursion that will bring the participants to visit two small villages: Codevilla and Mondondone. It will be a walk that will cover the most important vineyards of the “Oltrepò” (area in the north-west of Lombardy region), where the Bonarda, Riesling and Pinot Nero see the light. So, Vino e Storia sulle colline del Sole (Wine and History on the sunny Hills) will be an immersion into amazing landscapes and wineries.

GOLOSITALIA & Aliment 2018

24th – 27th February

From the 24th to the 27th of February 2018, Centro Fiera del Garda in Montichiari (Brescia) will host the 7th edition of Golositalia. It is a significant event for northern Italy and in particular for food operators and lovers. If the business area will be dedicated to buyers and Ho.Re.Ca. Operators, also simple foodies will have the chance to taste, get to know and challenge themselves with show-cookings, tastings, and workshops.
